Rankelo is built around a sport abstraction: every sport brings its own scoring rules, and the leagues, fixtures and standings work the same whatever you play. This is what table tennis brings.
Games to 11, won by two
The modern rule, checked on entry. 11-9 and 13-11 both count; 11-10 is refused before it reaches the table.
Best of five, or three, or seven
Best of five is the default. An office league in a lunch break plays best of three; a club match plays best of seven. Same sport, one setting.
Singles and doubles
Table tennis doubles ranks named pairs as teams, so the two who always play together can have their own record.

Create a league
Pick table tennis — or table tennis doubles — then best of three, five or seven, and how many times each pairing meets.

Add the players
A name is enough — they do not need an account. Add an email too and they link to their own match history automatically the day they register.

Open the league
Rankelo generates the fixtures for every pairing, once or as many times as you set. If the roster changes later the schedule reconciles — matches already played are kept.

Play
A player enters 11-9, 8-11, 11-6, 11-7 from the table. The ladder reorders before the kettle boils.

How table tennis is scored in Rankelo.
Table tennis is a run of games, each a race to 11 points won by two, with no cap. It is the sport the extensibility guide uses as its worked example of adding a new sport, and it cost exactly what that example promised: the numbers and the format list, nothing else.

Points systems a table tennis league can pick from
Chosen per league, and changeable at any time — switch it and every match already played is re-scored.
- 3 for a win, 1 for a game taken in defeat (default)
- 2 for a win, 1 for a game taken in defeat
- 3 for a win, 1 for a loss
- 2 for a win, 1 for a loss
- 1 for a win, nothing for a loss
- 3 for a win in straight games, 2 and 1 when it goes the distance
Service rotation, the expedite rule and the pre-2001 21-point game are not modelled — none of them changes what a finished game records.
