An ice hockey table that knows what overtime is worth.

Rankelo is a free ice hockey league app for clubs and rec leagues. Name the teams, and every fixture is generated when the league opens. Enter the score, tick the box if it went to overtime, and the table pays three for a regulation win, two in overtime and one for the overtime loss.

No credit card. No cap on leagues or players. Signing up takes a minute.

Ice Hockey on Rankelo

What an ice hockey league looks like here.

Rankelo is built around a sport abstraction: every sport brings its own scoring rules, and the leagues, fixtures and standings work the same whatever you play. This is what ice hockey brings.

The only sport here with a checkbox

Whether a game went to overtime cannot be recovered from its final score, so the score form collects it. Ice hockey is the one sport in Rankelo that needs something the scoreline does not carry.

IIHF 3-2-1-0, out of the box

Three for a regulation win, two for an overtime win, one for an overtime loss, nothing for a regulation loss — the international rule, and what a new league starts on.

No draws, unless you want them

Overtime and then a shoot-out decide it, so a completed game is never level. A league that plays neither switches draws on and a tie becomes a legal result.

League types

  • Ice Hockey— a named team per side

A team is a name that competes — it carries its own record, and squad size is not modelled.

How it works

From idea to ice hockey standings in four steps.

  1. 1

    Create a league

Pick ice hockey, name the teams, keep the IIHF points rule or choose another, and set how many times each pairing meets.

  2. 2

    Add the players

A name is enough — they do not need an account. Add an email too and they link to their own match history automatically the day they register.

  3. 3

    Open the league

Rankelo generates the fixtures for every pairing, once or as many times as you set. If the roster changes later the schedule reconciles — matches already played are kept.

  4. 4

    Play

Someone enters 4-3 and ticks overtime. The winner takes two, the loser takes one, and the table reorders on the spot.

Scoring & standings

How ice hockey is scored in Rankelo.

Ice hockey belongs to the aggregate-score family — one goal total per side, the higher one wins — with one thing no other sport here needs. Its points rule turns on whether the game went past regulation, and a 4-3 scoreline cannot say. So the score form grows a checkbox, and the rule reads that instead of guessing.

One aggregate scoreA single total per side, and the higher one wins — the only family where a level score can count.

Points systems an ice hockey league can pick from

Chosen per league, and changeable at any time — switch it and every match already played is re-scored.

  • 3 for a regulation win, 2 and 1 when it goes to overtime — the IIHF rule (default)
  • 2 for a win, 1 for a draw, nothing for a loss — for a league that allows ties
  • 1 for a win, nothing for a loss

A shoot-out is not distinguished from overtime, because the IIHF pays both the same 2-1 — one checkbox is the whole of it. The rule itself is not hockey-specific either: it is the same preset volleyball uses for a match that goes to a fifth set, since "three unless it went the distance" does not care what the distance is.

Features

Everything an ice hockey league actually needs.

Standings that follow your rules

Three for a regulation win, two and one when it goes to overtime, then head-to-head, goal difference and goals scored — the IIHF table, without anyone keeping a separate overtime column.

Automatic fixtures

Every pairing × your chosen number of meetings, generated in one click when the league opens.

Players without accounts

Add someone by name and the league can start right away. They register with the same email later and pick up their matches.

Public standings

Share a link and anyone can open the table — no login, no account, nothing to install.

On your phone, in your language

Enter the score where you played it. The app runs in English and Slovenian, light or dark.

FAQ

Ice Hockey leagues, answered.

Yes, and it is the default. Three points for a win in regulation, two for a win in overtime, one for an overtime loss and nothing for a regulation loss. The score form asks whether the game went to overtime, because the final score cannot say.

Drop the puck. The table does the rest.

Create a league in a minute, add your group, and let Rankelo do the counting.
