Table Football on Rankelo

What a table football league looks like here.

Rankelo is built around a sport abstraction: every sport brings its own scoring rules, and the leagues, fixtures and standings work the same whatever you play. This is what table football brings.

First to ten, the rule most leagues play

One game, first to ten goals, won by one — because that is what most leagues actually play. The official format is one setting away.

ITSF rules without a code change

A club playing best of three to five, won by two, sets exactly that when it creates the league. Nothing in the app knows the difference.

Singles or two-a-side

Table football doubles ranks named pairs as teams — the two who always play together get their own record.

League types

  • Table Football— one player per side
  • Table Football Doubles— a named pair per side

Individual and team leagues are separate leagues, so a club can run both from one account.

How it works

From idea to table football standings in four steps.

  1. 1

    Create a league

Pick table football — or table football doubles for two-a-side — then a single game to ten, or the ITSF format if that is what you play.

  2. 2

    Add the players

A name is enough — they do not need an account. Add an email too and they link to their own match history automatically the day they register.

  3. 3

    Open the league

Rankelo generates the fixtures for every pairing, once or as many times as you set. If the roster changes later the schedule reconciles — matches already played are kept.

  4. 4

    Play

Someone enters 10-7 at the table. The standings reorder immediately, and the goal difference column starts telling its own story.

Scoring & standings

How table football is scored in Rankelo.

Table football is scored as a race to a goal target. The default is the common house rule — one game, first to ten, won by one — rather than the ITSF format, because that is what most leagues here play. The one vocabulary difference is that a table football game counts goals rather than rally points, so the standings column reads "goals".

A race to a targetEach row is a race to a point target won by a margin, and the row tally decides the match.

Match formats you can choose

  • Single game — First to ten. The default, and the common house rule.
  • Best of three games — Set the target to 5 and win-by to 2 for ITSF competition scoring.
  • Best of five games — For a longer club match.

Points systems a table football league can pick from

Chosen per league, and changeable at any time — switch it and every match already played is re-scored.

  • 3 for a win, 1 for a game taken in defeat (default)
  • 2 for a win, 1 for a game taken in defeat
  • 3 for a win, 1 for a loss
  • 2 for a win, 1 for a loss
  • 1 for a win, nothing for a loss
  • 3 for a win in straight games, 2 and 1 when it goes the distance

In a single-game league every match is by definition a decider, so a points system conditioned on going the distance collapses to 2 for a win and 1 for a loss. That is legal arithmetic — the app warns rather than blocks — but a plain win count usually reads better.

End the table football season with playoffs.

Any table football league can finish with a knockout phase: once every round is played, the final table seeds a single-elimination bracket — reorder the seeds if you like, byes go to the top seeds, and a third-place match is optional. Or skip the season and run a straight knockout from day one.

How tournaments work

Features

Everything a table football league needs.

Standings that follow your rules

Three points for a win by default, then head-to-head, games and goal difference. Goals are counted for and against, so a 10-1 win and a 10-9 win do not look the same in the table.

Automatic fixtures

Every pairing × your chosen number of meetings, generated in one click when the league opens.

Players without accounts

Add someone by name and the league can start right away. They register with the same email later and pick up their matches.

Public standings

Share a link and anyone can open the table — no login, no account, nothing to install.

On your phone, in your language

Enter the score where you played it. The app runs in English and Slovenian, light or dark.

Traceable results

Every entry records who submitted it and when. Corrections go through a league admin, so the table never quietly changes.

Playoffs and brackets

End the season with a knockout seeded from the final table, or run a straight bracket from day one — seeding, byes and an optional third-place match included.

Singles, doubles and teams

Rank players, named pairs or whole teams. A pair or team is a competitor with its own record, and every sport commonly played in pairs ships a doubles variant.
