Which points system does it default to?

Three for a win, one for a draw and nothing for a loss. Two for a win and a plain win count are also available, and switching re-scores the whole season.

A match settled in overtime is recorded at the score it finished at, and counts as a win. Paying an overtime win differently — the 3-2-1-0 ice hockey uses — is not offered for floorball at the moment.

Do I need to enter squads?

No. A team is a name that competes and holds its own record; per-match lineups are not modelled.

Can a school run a floorball league for several classes?

Yes. There is no cap on leagues or teams, so each group is its own league from the same account.

Can a floorball league have playoffs?

Yes. A league can end with a playoff phase: when the season's rounds are all played, the final table seeds a single-elimination bracket, which you can reorder before it starts. The regular-season table is frozen while the bracket runs, so the record the draw came from cannot change. A floorball tournament can also run as a pure knockout with no season at all.

Ten goals a match, and all of them counted

Floorball puts up a football score several times over. Every goal for and against is recorded, so a 12-3 and a 7-6 do not read the same in the table even though both are three points.

Draws count, from the first fixture

A level score is a legal result worth a point, and the drawn column is shown because floorball allows draws rather than because one has happened.

A season with no paperwork

A team competes as a name and carries its own record — no squad to register, no per-match lineups. Enough to run a school, club or regional league from the side of the court.

A name is enough — they do not need an account. Add an email too and they link to their own match history automatically the day they register.

Rankelo generates the fixtures for every pairing, once or as many times as you set. If the roster changes later the schedule reconciles — matches already played are kept.

Someone enters 7-5 when the third period ends. The points, the goals and the difference all update before the teams are off the court.

Scoring & standings

How floorball is scored in Rankelo.

Floorball is decided on the aggregate of three periods: one goal total per side, the higher one wins, and a level score is a draw. That is football's shape exactly — three points for a win, goal difference doing the separating — applied to a scoreline several times the size, which is why the goals-for and goals-against columns start meaning something almost immediately.
